The official takeover of power in Split is expected on Monday, and although there is public speculation about the possible distribution of city departments, HDZ officials said on Wednesday that there have been no concrete discussions about this yet.

MOST Split hereby wants to clearly react to a series of media articles and statements of the newly elected mayor Tomislav Šuta about the alleged negotiations and the formation of the majority in the Split City Council. Namely, in the last 24 hours we have witnessed claims that a conversation with MOST has already been arranged, but we hereby responsibly say that

The cliché that every vote in elections matters was clearly confirmed in the recent local elections, namely, certain municipal and city mayors won their positions by four, two, or just one vote.

In Sunday's repeat elections for the municipal council of Lećevica, a municipality in Split-Dalmatia County, the majority of councilors, four out of a total of seven, were won by the HDZ, and three by Renate Kelam's independent list.

Independent candidate for county prefect Ivana Ninčević Lesandrić thanked the voters who voted for her on Sunday, especially the people of Split, where, she said, she was continuously in the lead until the votes from the Dalmatian hinterland arrived and in the end, HDZ's Blaženko Boban won.

In the second round of elections for the prefect and his deputies in Trogir, 15,18 percent of voters turned out to vote. Most of them voted for Blaženko Boban (HDZ, DP, HSP AS).

The new mayor of Split, Tomislav Šuta, who defeated the previous mayor, Ivica Puljak, in the second round of local elections, stated that his victory was convincing and said that Split needs development and a new vision.

In the second round of elections for the prefect and his deputies in Solin, 18,80 percent of voters turned out to vote. Most of them voted for Blaženko Boban (HDZ, DP, HSP AS).

The candidate of the HDZ and partner parties for the Split-Dalmatia County Prefect, Blaženko Boban, declared victory in the second round on Sunday after more than 50 percent of the votes were counted.

In the second round of elections for the prefect and his deputies in Kaštela, only 14,88 percent of voters turned out to vote. Most of them voted for Blaženko Boban (HDZ, DP, HSP AS).

According to the first data from the DIP as of 20 p.m., in the second round of local elections in Split, Tomislav Šuta is leading in Split, Tomislav Tomašević is leading in Zagreb, Iva Rinčić in Rijeka, Šime Erlić in Zadar, SDP's Peđa Grbin in Pula, while Marijan Pavliček won in Vukovar.

In Sunday's second round of local elections, Croatian voters said who they wanted for county prefects, mayors and chiefs. At 19 p.m., almost five thousand polling stations closed their doors, thus concluding the super-election year that began in April last year with the elections for the Croatian Parliament.
