An interview with Hajdukić Src on his new position, which he is holding in parallel with his rising coaching career. The four cafes - Kaštela, are the main topic of the interview, but we also touched on current Hajduk stories
Goran Jozinovic, former award winner Hajduk's heart, and now coach of GOŠK cadets, has been deeply involved in the organization of the tournament for the second year Four cafes – Kaštela which will be held on Saturday in Sućurac starting at 16 pm in the hall on Sokolana, and all proceeds will go to the association Our children.
Teklić is also arriving.
And how would it be to start a conversation with Jozinović in this pre-Christmas season without first asking if everything is ready for the tournament?
- The final preparations for the tournament are being made. The most important thing is ready, the playing staff has been formed. I can never say 100 percent, it can always happen that a player has something coming up and cancels at the last minute. That's how we've been the last two or three days... Hrvoje Vejić is not coming, we heard from each other and he had to cancel because he has his first memorial tournament in honor of a deceased friend on Saturday. Joza told me, sorry, he was a good friend of mine, I have to be down. Veja is really fair and he was there for us last year, and I know he will be there for us in the future. There are a few absences, but some new players have stepped in, they just made arrangements for two days. Tonio Teklić, a former Hajduk, Varaždin and Trabzonspor player, has also come. There will be a few more new names in addition to those we announced last week.
New tournament with an old name
How did you get into this story?
- I wouldn't like it if I was the only one who was outspoken, because people think it's easy to organize something like this. In addition to bringing in players, there are administrative matters, going to the city, dealing with paperwork... It should definitely be emphasized that this idea came from the organizers of the Small Goalkeeper Championship in Lukšić and the Night Bar Kauri, so they asked me if I was willing to get involved in this story. It's important to emphasize that this is not the same tournament as the one in Split. It was the Split tournament, which was held for 20 years, and we used it on this occasion. Kudos to the organizers, hats off to the floor. It takes 20 years to find a company, and not to bring in names like they brought in and the money they raised for the Mir Center. They decided to end this story after 20 years. We asked them for permission to use the name Four Cafes, but it should be emphasized that this is now a new tournament held in Kaštela. The tournament is attractive here in Kaštela and we continue to work on a similar principle. Last year, money was raised for the Mir Center, and this year it will go to the Our Children association, children with developmental disabilities with whom we have already had the opportunity to socialize.

News in fundraising
There are new ways to raise money, because donations are no longer made just by buying a ticket? And the broadcast is also provided on HDTV... That's proof of the larger dimension of the tournament, isn't it?
- As for that organization, the novelty is the QR code for donations and broadcasting on HDTV, which shows its greater importance. Last year, considering that it was the first tournament, I think it was very successful, from the names that performed to the amount we raised, which was 34.500 euros. Of course, we met again and are looking at ways to increase that amount, in order to help those children as much as possible. We came up with the idea of using QR codes, so we publish that QR code on social media every day. We put donation boxes with codes in the four cafes that perform. Today, everyone uses internet banking, so they can simply scan the QR code. This QR code is set to 10 euros, but everyone can change the amount depending on their capabilities. Every euro matters, we thank everyone.
As for the TV broadcast, we tried to take it to a higher level. Our big problem in Kaštela is that we have two halls of approximately the same capacity. Last year we were in the hall in Stari, and this year we are in the hall on Sokolana in Sućurac, but the number of people we can accommodate is almost the same, about 1000-1050 tickets have been released for sale. We can't do anything, but we have been watching how people who are unable to come and who were not lucky enough to get a ticket can watch the broadcast. We would like to thank Hajduk who recognized this commendable action and gave us a live broadcast from the hall on Hajduk Digital TV. A QR code with a message will be running throughout the broadcast, so that people watching the broadcast on television can also donate.
His place is in Hajduk
Hajduk has reasons for the transfer besides the humanitarian note, because Marko Livaja is playing. He has just recovered from his injury and is ready to play, although Garcia is dosing him... It would be interesting to hear your opinion?
- Marko Livaja is a big name here. We all know who he is in Dalmatia and Croatia. The best player in the HNL in the last few years. I grew up with Marko Livaja in Kambelovac, his best man lives 20 meters from my address. Marko is on good terms with us, the organizers. Last year, as soon as we came up with the idea of organizing the tournament, the first question was whether Marko Livaja could play. Marko immediately said that he would be there for us, as long as he wasn't injured. He would donate a jersey, an autograph, just let us know when the tournament is and he would come. As for Garcia, I wouldn't comment too much because I'm not there at the club, but we all know what quality Marko Livaja is for Hajduk and the HNL. I think even bigger experts than me believe that Marko Livaja has a place in Hajduk.

Marko likes to win.
The story has managed to change a bit, so now it's written that he will be a reinforcement in the second part...
- Marko would be a reinforcement in stronger leagues, and how could he not be for Hajduk? We played this season without him, and we are shoulder to shoulder with Dinamo. I am sure that Marko Livaja will be healthy, motivated and ready. Last year, the host Milan Stjelja, who came from Zagreb, said that he expected a humanitarian tournament, but he thought it would be veteran football. The man was surprised by the pace and intensity of the game. Everything was within the bounds of fair play, but it was played fiercely. Marko likes to win, and so were the others.
Legends of Croatian football
Do you have an unfulfilled wish for a specific player that you would like to bring to Četiri kafica – Kaštela?
- Last year we were unable to get in touch with some players, but this year I was in touch with Niko Kranjčar. Niko said he would be happy to come, but he has personal commitments and is unable to come. He said he will come next year. We have also been in contact with Klasnić, who will play with the Croatian veteran national team on December 26 in Vienna, so he will not be able to come. We are looking at how to raise the tournament to a higher level, invite legends, not only Hajduk but also Croatian football legends. Last year there was Danijel Subašić, it is difficult to beat such a name, goalkeeper of Hajduk, Monaco and the national team with which he was second in the world. Although I would also mention ours from Kaštela, Mario Pašalić, who helps us a lot. He is unable to play due to commitments at the club, but he helps us with donations, he gave his jersey, but also collected from his fellow teammates. He is always there for us. Many thanks to him.

A hajduk's heart in a heart
It's been more than ten years since you received the Hajduk Heart. What are your memories?
- It's a great award and honor, given by the fans. It's not an award for the best player, but for the one who leaves his heart on the field. Throughout my career, I've had good and bad moments, but I've never given up on fighting spirit. It's for a lifetime, it will always be written that I was the heart of Hajduk.
GOŠK's future
For the end, we left a question about a coaching career... Do you work with children, and it's no secret that you want to play senior football one day?
- As for working at GOŠK, I've been here for five years and I'm very satisfied. There are a lot of talented kids, and we all know that GOŠK has produced a lot of good players. I'm currently in the cadets, and my colleague Tomislav Bušić is in the juniors. We work together quite well and our goal is to get to senior football. At Gošk, we have good work and development for coaches, so we're going step by step. I don't think we should skip anything, I started with the youngest kids and now I've reached the cadets, getting closer to senior football.
