Despite the rain clouds, Split's Riva was filled with smiles, togetherness and the power of solidarity yesterday. More than 5000 registered participants gathered for the Race for the Cure run and walk, sending a unique message of support to all women suffering from breast cancer.
This magnificent event would not be possible without the help of numerous donors, sponsors, volunteers, technical, production and organizational teams, to whom the organizers would like to express their sincere gratitude.
A particularly important result of the race is the almost 80.000 euros in donations from citizens, which will be used to purchase an MRI scanner for the Split Clinical Hospital Center - the first in public healthcare in Croatia to be primarily intended for oncology patients. The device will enable examinations for as many as 50.000 people over the next ten years.
The County League Against Cancer - Split continues its actions to reach its goal of million euros and the Bearded Auction is starting soon.
Anyone who wants to support this initiative can still do so via: www.bradata-aukcija.com/magnet.
Enjoy some of the most beautiful shots from yesterday - the day when Split once again showed that it is a city of hope, solidarity and togetherness.
