Police officers from the Makarska Police Station have completed a criminal investigation into a 47-year-old man suspected of committing multiple felonies of aggravated theft.
It was determined that on September 15, he entered the Cathedral of St. Mark the Evangelist in Makarska, where he used physical force to steal 100 euros from a box. Furthermore, the investigation determined that the same man also stole a total of 500 euros from the same cathedral on September 8 and 10, 2025.
After the criminal investigation was completed, the suspect was handed over to the detention supervisor with a criminal report, and the investigating judge of the Split County Court ordered him to be remanded in custody, the police department reported.
