
Mayor Tomislav Suta i Edita Maretic Dimlic on behalf of the Split-Dalmatia County, they visited an exhibition of student works today Fine arts schools in Split, which was organized by the Split-Dalmatia County and the City of Split on the occasion of the National Day to Combat Violence against Women.
In addition to numerous guests, the event was also attended by Deputy Mayor Ivo Bilić, State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Croatia. Mayor Šuta spoke about the importance of marking the National Day to Combat Violence against Women, emphasizing that the City of Split will, as before, provide maximum support in the fight against violence against women.
"At no time in our city, in our society, should there be any place for any form of violence against women. Society must protect women in every respect. They are the pillar of the family and society. The city is at the disposal of all associations that fight for women's rights. On this occasion, I would like to thank the students of the School of Fine Arts, whose works indicate the strength of women in society, as well as the need for their protection," said the Mayor of Split.
Maretić Dimlić expressed her satisfaction with the exhibition, emphasizing that every day should be a day to fight against violence against women and that the Split-Dalmatia County provides full support for the implementation of preventive programs and the fight against violence.
Director of the School of Fine Arts Ivana Korjenic She emphasized that the posters on display were created over several years.
"With this exhibition, we did not want to portray women only as the weaker sex, but also as wives, mothers, daughters, sisters, friends...", emphasized director Korjenić.
