A PETITION HAS BEEN STARTED
The civic initiative Healthy Split calls on all owners of boats, yachts and other vessels to actively participate and join the maritime action to block the Moby Dre ship, which is not allowed to enter the Split shipyard.
- We have reliable information that the ship was supposed to sail into Brodosplit at 8 am this morning, but the weather conditions were not suitable for the tug to bring it to the shipyard. This means that an attempt to bring the ship is already underway and that we must act immediately! - they state.
A ship containing asbestos poses a direct threat to the health of citizens and the environment. We will not allow Split to become a hazardous waste dumping ground.
- We invite you to create a human shield with your vessels calmly, decisively and organizedly, but without compromise. The ship is currently located approximately in front of Sutivan on Brač and can head towards Brodosplit at any time. We invite you to monitor the ship's movements and join the blockade at sea in shifts. Let's organize ourselves and not allow the ship to enter the shipyard! - they said.

In addition, GI Zdrav Split has also launched a petition called "Let's protect the health of the citizens of Split - Let's remove the ship with asbestos from our city!"
