The bankruptcy administrator of Keruma doo submitted a report in which she points out that all long-term tangible and financial assets of the debtor were cashed in the bankruptcy proceedings, and a proposal for the final distribution to the bankruptcy creditors of the second highest payment order and the preparation of the final account will follow.
"Rent was collected from business premises and land that were leased during the proceedings. The costs of the proceedings during the sale of property burdened with separate rights were calculated and collected, the separate creditors had no objections to the calculated costs," the report submitted to the Split Commercial Court states.
The report adds that the remaining unencumbered assets are in a business building in Gruž, Dubrovnik, which represents part of an open terrace "with an area of 47,85 square meters."
The last valuable land plots of Keruma doo in Supetar and Stari Grad, totaling about 5000 square meters, were recently sold for 60.000 euros, which is 13.000 euros more than the initial price. After several years of unsuccessful sales, the properties were purchased by Marija Marušić from Zagreb.
The Commercial Court in Split also issued a decision on June 10th. o correction of the tables of examined claims of bankruptcy creditors of the second higher payment order, according to which 200 creditors claim a total of as much as 147,5 million euros.
Bankruptcy trustee Natalija Mladineo proposed to the court a correction to the table of claims of these creditors, considering the previous tables where a significant portion of the claims was disputed until the end of the civil disputes.
Claims of 23 million euros established
For example, at hearings in May and November 2019, claims of 186 creditors totaling around 23 million euros (173,45 million kuna) were established, while claims of around 130 million euros were disputed. The largest number of claims, around 125 million euros, was disputed by Hypo Group doo, which later did not even initiate litigation, and therefore, as stated in the bankruptcy trustee's proposal, the claims should be considered established.
According to the proposed correction of established claims, the largest claim from Kerum doo - as much as 65,75 million euros - is made by Adria resorts doo, a company that was deleted from the court register at the end of 2019 due to its merger with the Rovinj-based Adris group. It is followed by Zagrebačka banka with a claim of 27,88 million euros and B2 Kapital with 13,61 million euros.
The list of the largest creditors continues with Pjaca Rosa, a company founded and managed by Anka Kerum, Željko Kerum's ex-wife, with a claim of EUR 11,36 million. Among the creditors claiming more than EUR 1 million are Podravska banka, Diokom novi, Podravka - Danica, Zvijezda, Jamnica and PIK Vrbovec.
On the other hand, the state also has claims against Kerum's company - the Tax Administration with around 5 million euros in established claims, and the Ministry of Justice, which is claiming a "modest" 23.413 euros.
The bankruptcy of Kerum doo, once the core company of the business empire of Željko Kerum and his family, was opened at the end of 2018 after years of business problems.
