DAMAGE REPORTS ARE STILL BEING RECEIVED
The Split-Dalmatia Police Department has so far received more than 500 reports from citizens about consequences of a severe storm consequences of a severe storm which affected the Split and surrounding area in the morning hours yesterday, July 8th, in relation to property damage, falling trees and other objects that damaged vehicles or blocked roads, and injuries to people.
- So far, damage has been reported to 330 vehicles. There have also been reports of cranes in Split and a port unloading machine in Vranjic overturning, as well as damage to other machinery and the sinking of a ship. 26 people sought medical attention at the Split hospital yesterday. According to information so far, two people have suffered serious injuries and are being treated in hospital - the police said, adding that the Marjan Forest Park is closed to pedestrians and vehicles.
Damage reports are still being received. Material damage is being assessed.
