The Aeronautical Technical Center delivered the Canadair CL-415 firefighting aircraft to the Croatian Air Force (HRZ), fulfilling its obligation and completing the work within the stipulated deadline and delivering all aircraft for this year's firefighting season to the highest standards, the ZTC announced, writes N1.
The successful completion of the works is another confirmation of the expertise and dedication of ZTC employees. The Croatian Air Force now has all 12 firefighting aircraft at its disposal, meaning that for the first time in many years it has all 6 Canadairs and all 6 Air Tractors at its disposal, they pointed out in the statement, emphasizing that this is more than the requirements of the Program of Activities in the Implementation of Special Fire Protection Measures of Interest for the Republic of Croatia in 2025.
"ZTC has delivered aircraft ready for operational use to the 855th Firefighting Squadron of the Croatian Air Force, meeting all technical and safety requirements. This is confirmation of our capabilities as well as proof that we can work with dedication and precision even under the greatest pressure. In challenging circumstances, under the scrutiny of the public and exposed to a series of unfounded criticism from the highest levels, we have managed to remain professional. We are convinced that the achieved results are a clear indicator of the quality of work of our engineers, mechanics, aircraft technicians and all other employees who have invested effort and knowledge in carrying out all work on the aircraft," said ZTC CEO Ivica Vidović on this occasion.
In addition to thanking "all those who had confidence in the work of ZTC and who maintained professionalism and objectivity", Vidović stressed that ZTC guarantees the quality of the work performed. "We worked responsibly despite the fact that part of the public spread doubts about our work and transmitted unverified and fabricated information that, unfortunately, significantly damaged the reputation of ZTC both in Croatia and internationally", said Vidović. He also said that ZTC ultimately confirmed that the insinuations about problems during the work were untrue by delivering all the aircraft.
The ZTC adds that this year they have also formed an intervention team consisting of engineers, mechanics, aviation technicians and employees of other professions necessary for aircraft maintenance, and that it is available to the Croatian Air Force 24 hours a day during the main firefighting season, both for interventions in the field and in the ZTC premises, ensuring fast and efficient technical support.
