Police officers of the Split Maritime Police Station sanctioned a total of 8 offenses of so-called "boating" - driving a vessel at a distance of less than 300 meters from the coast, which endangers the safety of persons.
Among other offenses related to safety at sea, persons who did not have a license to operate were sanctioned, persons who did not have a license to operate, persons were sanctioned for transhipment and anchoring in an area where this is prohibited.
Police officers will continue to carry out surveillance and control at sea throughout the summer and tourist season, with the aim of preventing and sanctioning persons who do not comply with maritime traffic laws and rules.
Given the increased intensity of traffic at sea, we advise all participants in maritime traffic to comply with laws and maritime rules in order to record as few negative events at sea as possible.
