At the border crossings of Bosnia and Herzegovina towards Croatia, especially in the direction of the Adriatic, on Saturday, the first day of the weekend, large crowds and long waits to cross the border were recorded.
As reported by the Automobile Association in Bosnia and Herzegovina, kilometer long lines were formed at several crossings, which is why drivers are urged to use alternative border crossings.
At the Doljani, Gabela and Osoje border crossings, vehicles were waiting for several hours at the exit from Bosnia and Herzegovina towards Croatia.
Air temperatures exceeded 30 degrees Celsius on Saturday, causing increased vehicle traffic on the main roads to the coast.
Given the increased traffic on all main roads, traffic authorities in BiH are urging drivers to be cautious and to watch out for other road users, especially due to high temperatures and possible dangers on the roads.
