Mayor Ivica Puljak (Centar) stated at an extraordinary press conference in Split on Thursday that there is now evidence that mayoral candidate from the HDZ Tomislav Šuta participated in his brothers' illegal activities, which is why he called on him to withdraw his candidacy, writes N1.
He accused Šuta of lying to the Conflict of Interest Commission and of being in business with his brothers because he "does the paperwork" for them, and is siphoning off millions of euros. He added that three brothers are in the same business - two of them do the digging and one does the paperwork, and that in any civilized country in the world such a man would not dare to run for office.
He told citizens that Sunday is the most important election in recent history and called on them to vote in the elections to fight together for a Split of Order, "and not for the return of the disorder symbolized by Šuta and Kerum."
The media reports that the company where the HDZ candidate for mayor of Split was a board member until recently kept the books for a company owned by his brothers that deals with stone exploitation and concrete production.
