
During the past week, from May 12 to 18, 2025, police officers from the Split Maritime Police Station conducted regular surveillance of maritime traffic and controls at sea, and recorded a total of 22 violations from various legal regulations in the field of maritime affairs and navigation safety.
The violations most often related to:
- improper planing i incorrect anchoring in areas where this is not permitted,
- mooring to the shore contrary to regulations,
- not having a valid vignette,
- lack of necessary documentation for boat captains,
- irregularities in registration plates,
- violations related to the number of crew members and the lack of a boat manager.
In one case, an indictment was filed for unauthorized possession of narcotic drugs.
Police officers will continue to intensify surveillance to ensure the highest possible safety of navigation and protection of maritime property. Citizens and boaters are urged to behave responsibly and comply with all legal regulations when at sea.
