
U Saturday, 24. May, will be held Open door day Industrial schools Split, an ideal opportunity for all students who are entering high school in the fall and are interested in one of the attractive vocational careers that this school offers.
The three-year education at the Industrial School Split offers numerous advantages, from faster completion of education, to earlier employment, to the possibility of pursuing a career in sought-after and very well-paid professions. Great emphasis is placed on practical classes, which make up as much as 50% of the total program. Classes take place exclusively in the morning shift, in modernly equipped classrooms, but also in cooperation with Croatian companies and businessmen.
After completing the three-year program, students have the option of continuing their education in four-year schools free of charge and taking the state matriculation exam.
Industrial School Split does not only offer regular classes. Students and teachers actively participate in numerous extracurricular activities, mobility projects such as the Erasmus+ program, humanitarian actions, fairs and professional events. The school is proud of its modernly equipped classrooms, offices, laboratories and workshops, where students work on computers, LCD projectors, CNC machines, 3D printers and other modern devices that ensure quality preparation for the labor market.
The following occupations are available for enrollment in the 2025/2026 school year:
FITTER OF MECHANICAL INSTALLATIONS (formerly known as an installer-fitter) – professionally qualified to perform heating and air conditioning installations, plumbing and gas installation work, as well as to install renewable energy systems such as solar systems and wind farms. In addition, qualified for specific installation work in the field of swimming pool technology.
MACHINE PROCESSING OPERATOR (formerly known as CNC operator) – an expert in working on computer-controlled machines. Works in machining workshops within a plant for the maintenance and production of machine parts and devices, either in the industrial sector or in craft workshops. Classes take place in specialized classrooms with new CNC machines where students will master computer drawing and programming programs (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, WinNC, Mach3). This profession is the most sought-after mechanical profession on the labor market.
ELECTRICIAN – an expert in the repair, maintenance and installation of electrical machines, household appliances and electrical installations. Students are also trained to work on equipment for the distribution and control of electrical energy, as well as to operate electricity consumption meters.
SHIPWRIGHT (formerly known as a ship mechanic) – professionally qualified for ship mechanics – repairing, maintaining and servicing ship engines, navigation, control, heating and air conditioning systems. In addition to shipyards, ship mechanics can sail on ships and work in various service workshops in ports and marinas.
