Minister of Physical Planning, Construction and State Property Branko Bačić signed contracts thanks to which 43 young families will receive apartments in two cities and two municipalities of the Split-Dalmatia County, and the project is worth 5,4 million euros.
Bačić signed an agreement with the Split-Dalmatia County Prefect Blaženko Boban on interdepartmental cooperation in the implementation of the Program for the Construction and Renovation of State-Owned Housing Units in Assisted Areas of the Republic of Croatia.
This concerns housing for young people and young families in the cities of Vrlika and Trilj, and the municipalities of Cista Provo and Gradac. Four apartment buildings with a total of 43 apartments worth around 5,4 million euros will be built there. There will be 23 apartments in Trilj, nine in Cista Provo, and six apartments each in Vrlika and Gradac.
He said that the Government will build the apartments, while all necessary communal infrastructure will be provided by local self-government units, which will exempt the agency that will build from paying communal contributions, which will achieve the lowest price for building apartments.
"Thanks to the strategic investment of the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the relevant ministry, based on strategies on affordable housing, we are embarking on a series of projects and activities. The Split-Dalmatia County is, as usual, among the first. I must thank my colleagues from these four places who prepared their programs and today signed an Agreement with the Government on the construction of as many as 43 apartments in their four local units.
"The obligation of the local community is to secure the land, if it is theirs, and if it is state-owned, then the state will regulate it itself. Of course. the obligation is to exempt the community contribution and the issue of community infrastructure, and the relevant ministry will only build these apartments for, in this case, 43 needy young families," said County Prefect Blaženko Boban.
"There will be 23 apartments in Trilj, nine in Cista Provo, and six apartments each in Vrlika and Gradac. This Agreement will be followed by obtaining the necessary building permit and preparing project documentation. Today, with this agreement, we have committed ourselves that the Government of the Republic of Croatia will build the apartments, and that all necessary communal infrastructure will be provided by local self-government units, which will exempt our agency, which will build these buildings, from paying communal contributions, and that we will thereby achieve the lowest price for building apartments," revealed Bačić.
The rent in these apartments will be 30 times lower than the average rent in the Split-Dalmatia County, which is more than affordable housing. After some time, young people who have stayed to live and work there will be able to buy the apartments at very favorable prices, announced Bačić. He also handed over decisions on concluding a lease agreement for business premises in Split, and signed an agreement on the use of business premises in Split for the purpose of housing the county social HUB.
