
On Saturday evening, the police restored public order and peace in Split after the Hajduk-Dinamo match, but 16 police officers were slightly injured during their actions, and their injuries were treated on the scene by emergency medical personnel, Split police confirmed last night.
Minor injuries are blows or scratches that the police officers received while restoring order. By the end of the match, according to the police, a total of 160 people had been detained, including those who were detained during the day for participating in the clash between Hajduk and Dinamo fans in the city's Pujanke district.
The arrests continued last night after the match, and the final number of arrested persons will be known today, the police told Hina.
The riots first broke out in the morning hours in the Pujanke district of the city, where Hajduk and Diana fans clashed. The police intervened to stop the clash, and according to earlier police information, more than 100 participants in the fight were detained. After the clash, four fans of both clubs sought help at the Split hospital, two of whom were seriously injured, according to the hospital. A police officer who was slightly injured during the police intervention to stop the clash between fan groups in the Pujanke district also sought help at the Split KBC.
The Hajduk - Dinamo derby match, which was played at Poljud in Split yesterday at 16 pm, was declared a high-risk match by the police.
