
Members Longfield Motorcycle Club from Dugopolje visited the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with Rheumatology of the Split Clinical Hospital Center, to which they donated a modern robotic device for hand rehabilitation.
Along with the Capri computer-controlled rehabilitation device, a table with height regulation was also purchased, and the total value of the donation is 7.250 euros.
- This valuable donation represents a significant contribution to the improvement of medical equipment and the quality of healthcare in our hospital, especially in the field of rehabilitation. The device is intended for the rehabilitation of patients with neurological, orthopedic and traumatological injuries of the hand and upper limb. It enables the implementation of modern, individually tailored rehabilitation procedures with the aim of improving mobility, muscle strength, coordination and fine motor skills of the hand. Its application will contribute to a more efficient rehabilitation process, reducing the duration of recovery and improving functional treatment outcomes - said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Ana Poljicanin, Dr. med. On behalf of all patients and employees of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with Rheumatology, headed by the head, Assoc. Prof. Dr. sc. Dinka Pivalica she thanked the donors for their support and recognition of the importance of investing in improving the conditions of treatment and care for patients.
The money for this commendable act was collected at the humanitarian event 'Moto Alka', which is being held in Dugopolje on August 16, on the occasion of the feast of St. Roch. The members of MK Longfield are proud of their humanitarian work, and on this occasion they thanked the Municipality of Dugopolje, sponsors, friends of the club and everyone who helped in raising the necessary funds.
This is the second year that MK Longfield has donated to KBC Split, and the club members, as well as the employees of KBC Split, hope that this pre-Christmas visit and the gift they bring to patients of the Split hospital will become a tradition. Last year, they donated a Vscan Ultra wireless probe to the Clinic for Children's Diseases worth 6.500 euros.
