
State incentives for electric vehicles are returning in 2025 with larger amounts and clear rules. Electrification of business fleets is becoming a smart decision. The new cycle of incentives from the Environmental Protection Fund brings an opportunity with state subsidies of up to 9.000 euros per vehicle, making the switch to electric propulsion a financially logical step.
Legal entities and tradesmen, except those whose main activity is commercial transport, have the right to apply. The incentives apply to new electric vehicles from categories M1 and N1, as well as electric scooters. The maximum amount of support for cars is 9.000 euros, and a total of more than 21 million euros has been secured for 2025, it says. Tportal.
Applications will open on October 15, 2025 via the eFZOEU system and will last until the end of the year or until the funds are fully used. Incentives are approved in the order in which applications are received.
The aim of this call is to increase the energy efficiency of road transport by reducing dependence on fossil fuels, through increasing the number of alternative fuel vehicles (electricity or hydrogen) registered in the Republic of Croatia. This will directly contribute to reducing overall CO2 and other harmful gas emissions.
Only natural persons - tradesmen and legal entities in public and private ownership, except for associations, can apply.
Beneficiaries of the Fund's resources in the sense of this Call are not natural persons-craftsmen and legal entities whose main activity is the transport of passengers by vehicle with a driver on request, road transport of goods and/or the rental and leasing of cars and light motor vehicles.
Funds are available for new vehicles with an alternative drive, namely:
- electric vehicles of categories L1, L2, L3, L4, L5, L6, L7,
- electric or hydrogen-powered vehicles of categories M1, M2 and M3,
- vehicles of category N1, N2, N3 with electric or hydrogen drive.
Applications for the Call are submitted exclusively electronically, by entering data and uploading documentation into the information system. eFZOEU, which is accessed via the link https://fondovi.gov.hr.
Registration in the eFZOEU system is carried out by identification with the credentials of the National Identification and Authentication System (NIAS) of significant security level. The applicant submits the application independently, and an authorized representative may submit the application on his behalf if he has a special power of attorney for the above, certified by a notary public.
