July, one of the peak summer months, ended just a few days ago and airports are releasing their monthly statistics. Split Airport set a new monthly record, accepting and disembarking almost 750 passengers in one month, the most in history, writes Croatian Aviation.
Split Airport received and dispatched a total of 744.720 passengers, the highest number of passengers in a single month in history. This is a 9% better result than in July 2019, the summer before the global pandemic, when 723 passengers were recorded in a single month.
In the first 7 months of this year, the Resnik Airport accepted and transported a total of 1.818.903 passengers, and in the coming days it will record its two millionth passenger this year.
Split will record excellent results in August, there is no doubt about that, but the number of passengers will still be slightly lower than in July, which is quite normal considering that July is the month with the highest number of arrivals and overnight stays in the Republic of Croatia.
