FIRE IS UNDER CONTROL, HOUSES ARE NOT AT RISK
An olive grove caught fire in Kaštel Gomilica below the Ivan Pavla II road. Firefighters received the call at 2:40 p.m. and all three Kaštel fire departments, DVD Sućurac, DVD Gomilica and DVD Kaštela, responded to the scene. The fire is under control, and houses are not at risk.
As Kaštela fire chief Darko Maretić told us, an olive grove and a couple of electricity poles were destroyed. Although the fire is still being extinguished, according to Maretić, it is under control and houses are not threatened.
Let's add that the houses are about 200 meters away from the fire site.
