ALL MONEY RAISED GOES TO HUMANITARIAN PURPOSES
The Lukšić folk festival gathered numerous visitors last night at Mali mulo who enjoyed Dalmatian food, socializing, but also music, primarily HGD Biranj, and then the hits of Trio Gušta who entertained them long into the night. The evening was also of a humanitarian nature with a rich lottery, and the organizers, the Brotherhood of St. John, did not hide their satisfaction with this year's edition of the festival, which once again revived the village, its traditions and customs.
- This is the second Lukšić folk festival in a row. All this started from love and friendship. The reason for this festival is to help people. We also want to revive the village, tradition and customs in a positive way, and of course, to help someone. We also have a lottery, and all the money collected goes to humanitarian purposes. With the help of our parish priest Don Marijo, who helps us a lot, we decide who we will give the help to, leaving that part completely anonymous – said Ivan Brčić from the Brotherhood of St. John and added that their goal is for everyone to be satisfied and to have a great time with Trio Gušt, who always creates a nice atmosphere.
Numerous stalls at the festival offered a variety of food, from traditional dishes and other Dalmatian delicacies to desserts such as pancakes and fritters.
The evening was opened by the HGD Biranj with their performance, and then the band Trio Gušt took the stage and warmed up everyone present with their hits. There was no shortage of singing and dancing.
In order for this evening to go as smoothly as possible, primarily in socializing and having fun with an emphasis on humanitarian work, a rich lottery was organized. In addition to the Brotherhood of St. John, the organization was also attended by the Krijesnice association, Torcida Kaštel Lukšić, the Little Branka's Entourage Championship, the Kaštilac Hunting Association, the veterans' association "Stina pradidova", the "Sjene" Moto Club, and the Galeb Maritime School Society.
- As long as we help each other every day, this place will become more beautiful and better for all of us - said the organizers, who had a surprise for their parish priest, Don Mario Buljević, who celebrated the Young Mass 20 years ago and has been in the UBDM parish in Lukšić for the last eight years.
- This evening will bring happiness to our hearts because the very reason for this evening is - joy. It is an exceptional honor for me to have the opportunity to greet all the guests, all our parishioners, all the tourists who come to us every year and all the good people who have decided to be a part of this evening - said the parish priest of Lukšić, Don Mario, whom the organizers presented with a gift on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of his service. He received a Hajduk jersey as a gift.
There was no shortage of friendship, togetherness, and love at this yet another edition of the Lukšić folk festival, which ended with a grand fireworks display.
