BECOME A MEMBER OF THE NEW GENERATION OF MUSICIANS IN THE LONGEST-LONG-STANDING KASTELAN MUSIC SOCIETY
In collaboration with Yamaha Music School Croatia, the Croatian Music Society "Zrinski" Donja Kaštela has been implementing an internationally recognized program since this year. Yamaha Class Band® as part of its Music School, which has produced numerous amateur and professional musicians from Kaštel Stari. The Music School has been operating since the Society's founding and represents the foundation of the work of this brass orchestra based in Kaštel Stari.
Interested candidates have the opportunity to learn to play at the "Zrinski" Musical Theatre. pipe, trombon, horny, tenor, baritone, clarinet, saxophone or percussion instruments, and after completing the training, become a member of the orchestra. The company provides registered participants with an instrument free.
There is no upper age limit, while for children a minimum age of 10 yearsThe training takes place in the premises of the "Zrinski" HGD in Kaštel Stari at Obala kralja Tomislava 55.
Applications for auditions and enrollment in the 2025/2026 school year are completed online. APPLICATION FORM available on the website www.hgd-zrinski.hr. The deadline for applications is Sunday. September 21, 2025.
The number of registration spots for Yamaha Class Band® is limited to 10 participantsAll others who successfully pass the audition will have the opportunity to attend the regular program of the Music School of the Croatian Chamber Orchestra "Zrinski", whose activities are co-financed by the Society's sponsors and donors.

YAMAHA CLASS BAND®
Yamaha Class Band® is a modern, motivating and effective way of teaching music, and is part of the licensed Yamaha Music School educational program, which is implemented in the same way all over the world. The program lasts two years and is led by a licensed Class Band implementation mentor® methods. Within Class Band®, students systematically learn to play wind instruments and form an orchestra together from the very beginning. Music theory is covered in an innovative and easy-to-remember way, and participants can start without any prior musical knowledge.
This school is not only intended for children and younger people, but also for all older people who want to learn to play a musical instrument and get involved in the work of the Society with a tradition that dates back to 1852. The Yamaha Class Band® program is currently being conducted by three wind orchestras in Croatia, and thanks to the musicians of the HGD "Zrinski" it will soon be available in Kaštela as an extension of the Music School.
