Last night, the people of Kaštela once again brought their most famous love story to life, that of Miljenko Rušinić and Dobrila Vitturi, as part of the 12th edition of the event Days of the Legend of Miljenko and Dobrila, organized by the City of Kaštela and the Kaštela Tourist Board. The central event of the evening at Vitturi Castle combined two artistic forms, the promotion of the illustrated script The Legend of Miljenko and Dobrila by the author and coordinator of the event Marijana Vulas, and the performance of arias from Milivoje Koludrović's opera Miljenko and Dobrila.
The program began with the presentation of the book, which was discussed by Dr. Tihomir Rajčić and the director of the Kaštela Tourist Board, Nada Maršić.
- Our task is to preserve this legend and pass it on to future generations. The value of this illustrated scenario lies in the fact that it can serve as a basis for further creativity, and the first version in English, which opens our story to the world, is of particular importance – Maršić emphasized.

Author Marijana Vulas emphasized that the script was based on a novel by Marko Kažotić, and was based on her many years of work on the event. She thanked her family, friends, and associates, and a particularly emotional moment was caused by the speech of her daughter Mara.
- For months now, our home has been full of costumes and props, and the only conversation revolves around Miljenko and Dobrila. We are all proud of our mom. If everyone followed their passion like she did this play and book, the world would be full of beautiful things
In the second part of the evening, the audience enjoyed an unusual musical experience - arias from the opera Miljenko and Dobrila, the only Kaštela operas. Renowned Kaštela opera singers Antonija Teskera and Joško Tranfić performed, with the participation of the excellent tenor Rok Radovan and the virtuoso piano accompaniment of the young Stipe Iličić. The performances exuded superb interpretation and strong emotions, and the precise vocal technique and sincere stage presence of the performers touched the audience. The touching duets of Dobrila and Miljenko stood out in particular, in which Teskera and Radovan created a musical dialogue full of intimacy and drama, and the strong arias of the character Radoslav in the powerful interpretation of Joško Tranfić.
As program host Regina Zubanović noted, the evening combined seemingly incompatible things – a book promotion and an opera – but the audience agreed that love unites everything, rewarding the performers with a long standing ovation.
