Krešimirova Street in Kambelovac was officially opened to traffic yesterday, after being closed for 15 months due to works on the reconstruction of the railway bridge, which, according to the contractor, the Cenoza company, was completed ahead of schedule, December 31, 2025. This is the only road in Kambelovac that connects Dr. Franje Tuđmana Road with the main road, that is, Ivan Pavla II Road.
Vedran Devčić from the Cenoza company confirmed to us yesterday that the road will be officially completed, that is, opened to traffic.
- Unless there are unforeseen circumstances, new signs will be installed and temporary traffic regulation signs will be removed today. We would like to reiterate that our official, contractual deadline for completing this project is December 31, 2025, and that we completed the project almost 5 months ahead of schedule - said Devčić.
As a reminder, the road has been improved under the bridge, where a sidewalk has been installed on both sides of the road. It should be noted that traffic under the bridge is still permitted for vehicles up to 2,1 meters high, as we have discussed. писали and in the announcement of the reconstruction itself back in May last year.
The development of Krešimirova Street in the section below the railway bridge also included covering the Planiča torrent. As the City stated in previous discussions, the Planiča torrent will be covered for another 100 meters in order to create an additional sidewalk.
Last year, a location permit was obtained for Krešimirova street from the railway line to the route of the water supply line, and during the construction of the railroad crossing, the solution to the arrangement of the Planiča floodwater was also approached, in such a way that a pipe was installed, which will then continue further down the street after the construction of Krešimirova street, and a sidewalk will come above it, they said from Harrow back in February this year.
It is worth noting that Krešimirova Street will in the future also be a road that will lead west to the regional school in Kambelovac, which will be built in the Grabovica area, south of the railway.
