
The seventh Lovestock festival opened on Thursday, transforming Kaštela into a city of love, with the audience electrified by One Possible Option and Osmi putnik. The plateau in front of the high school in Kaštel Novi will be a center of good music from July 10th to 12th, along with a workshop for the youngest - Lovestock for children.
The Kaštela residents' favorite festival of "hard" music was opened with warm words of welcome by Jakov Lučić, and the audience didn't have to wait long for a good time and great music thanks to the group One possible Option, who had the honor of performing first and setting the pace for the rest of the festival. It started without hesitation, drawing the audience closer to the stage and raising the pleasant temperature to that of dancing.
Rijeka One possible option They bring a world-class sound with a repertoire mostly in English, with a high level of production. Their energy is perfect for Lovestock. With over 13 years of existence under that name, we were visited by a father and son tonight - Zdravko Kasapovic 'Piggy' on guitar, frontman Deni Kasapovic and the drummer Dejan AdamovicOver the course of two hours, they performed 12 numbers, quickly filling the stage and the surrounding park of the high school.
After a short break, the organizer and driving force of the Lovestock festival addresses the audience, Josko Grgin, thanking for their support throughout the years of the festival's existence. He also took the opportunity to thank the sponsors, which are the City of Kaštela as the general sponsor, the sponsors of the Kaštela Tourist Board, Cemex and Marina Kaštela, along with Zeleno i Modro, PŠK Srdela, Konoba Lemo and Red Lion Pub as sponsors. The Red Lion Pub is also responsible for drinks during the festival.
A band that needs no introduction takes the stage - The eighth passengerFounded around 40 years ago, after three phases of existence, they are now performing with a refreshed line-up. Osmi potančin today consists of vocalist Mario Culjak, with Bojana Boža Antolić i Ivan Jurić on the guitar, Ivana Dabra on bass guitar, and drummer Josip Gruić.
The Split-Kaštela band 'ignited' the audience from the very first song, with hits with well-known lyrics. The frontman's animation and invitation to sing along had a thunderous response, and Jurić and Antolić's masterful 'picking' on the guitar guaranteed ovations at the end of each performance. The band and the audience moved as one, guided by the rhythm of Antolić's bass guitar and Gruić's drums.
Until late at night, the hits of Osmi Putnik were sung - 'Ulična molitva', 'Rock'n'roll se vroti kući', 'Mi smo majstori', 'Lutko moja, takav sam ti ja', 'Zajedno', with the occasional 'diversion' by inserting foreign hits and songs from other bands. As every year, the festival of love took place in an atmosphere of peace and togetherness, and directional speakers ensured minimal noise spread outside the event area. The second day of the festival brings Lovestock for children in the morning, and New Gondoliers and Dada Topić & Time after Time in the evening.
