Last night, the Kaštela City Library organized a music and quiz evening in Gojača Park in Kaštel Sućurac to mark the 1100th anniversary of the Croatian Kingdom. The quiz took place under the starry sky of the park, where the contestants, while having fun, tested their knowledge of Croatian history.
Interesting questions, lots of good music, snacks and refreshments, along with rich prizes from sponsors, brought together experienced quiz players, as well as beginners in 24 teams who put their knowledge to the test, while enjoying performances of the greatest Croatian musical hits with Nedjeljko Kovačev and Miroslav Miša.
- This year, the Kaštela City Library is organizing a new project for the first time on the occasion of the 1100th anniversary of the Croatian Kingdom. We have combined entertainment and a general knowledge quiz that will contain questions about King Tomislav and other Croatian kings and princes. Also, some of the questions will refer to the 1100th anniversary of the Croatian Kingdom. We will enrich the entire evening with a performance by Neda Kovačev and Miroslav Miša, who we have incorporated into the quiz through the part - continue the verses. In this way, we want to introduce the younger generations to songs that are known to older generations, and there will also be new songs that older generations may not know. We hope that the quiz will be interesting to everyone. Participation is free, which means that no one can lose anything, and everyone can win valuable prizes. We hope that people will come for the good atmosphere and togetherness, especially since the entire year is dedicated to the 1100th anniversary of the Croatian Kingdom - said the director of the Kaštela City Library Renata Dobrić and thanked the sponsors of the event; The Ministry of Culture and Media, the Split-Dalmatia County, the City of Kaštela and the Kaštela Tourist Board, Ribola doo and the "Roko" Cafe Bar.
In addition to their knowledge of Croatian history, the contestants showed that they were very good at associations, knowing the lyrics of Croatian patriotic songs, knowing series and films, as well as general knowledge questions.
Gathered in 24 teams, the competitors competed for eight prizes that the event sponsors prepared for the participants. The prizes were truly rich, so they competed for a bottle of wine from the Putalj winery owned by Anton Kovač, four cocktails at the Strings cocktail bar, a chest of choice of 3 pies of mother's milk, a jumbo pizza and four drinks at the Intrada tavern, 3 kg of ćevap at the Bošnjak butcher shop, a round of drinks for one team at the Roko Caffe bar, an hour of horseback riding at the OPG Vukorepa ranch and a 3-hour rafting tour on the Cetina River for the team.
The evening under the starry sky of Gojača Park passed in a friendly atmosphere, as the teams were more interested in socializing than in winning prizes. Of course, the most successful teams deserved their prizes, and each team chose one of the really interesting prizes for itself.
