In the special ambience of the park in front of the old school, a musical evening called Jazz Night was held on Monday evening, as part of this year's Kaštela Cultural Summer. A large audience enjoyed a superb musical experience organized by members of the Croatian Music Society Knights of St. George, with guest artists - vocalist Gabriela Braičić and Argentine violinist Bernabe Romero.
An evening filled with recognizable jazz standards, interesting covers and playful improvisations turned Sućurac into a true summer musical haven, and the blend of jazz, pop, rock and tango kept the audience glued to their chairs until the very end.
The conductor of the HGD Knights of St. George, Ivo Jerkunica, pointed out that this is the third such evening they have organized in Sućurac.
– The first two times were very nice, people liked it, and we hope that this will become a nice tradition. We don't just perform jazz – the repertoire also includes pop, rock and Argentine tango. We are especially pleased that tonight we can host Argentine violinist Bernabe Romero, who will, among other things, perform Hungarian čardas, and collaborate with us on several jazz compositions – said Jerkunica.

The evening was also particularly charming when young singer Gabriela Braičić, who had just won the second audience award at the Split Festival the night before, brought a special touch to the evening. The audience in Sućurac welcomed her with enthusiasm, remembering her successes at the Šibenik Chanson and in the final of The Voice.
– I think this program will be interesting even to those who may not listen to jazz – added Jerkunica, recalling how this year they had the honor of opening the 13th European Blues Challenge in Split, as well as marking World Jazz Day in the large hall in Split.
The evening under the stars confirmed how powerfully music can fill a space and connect people. To the rhythm of jazz, with a touch of tango and familiar melodies of pop and rock classics, Sućurac momentarily became a stage where different worlds, generations and emotions met.
