It is not difficult to guess that this year's May will be colder than average in many parts of the country, in some places even more so. When looking at the temperature trend from the beginning of the month to today, it has had an average downward trajectory, which is an almost unprecedented scenario for May. Thus, the last spring month of this year was marked by unusual freshness, especially the second part of the month, but also relatively frequent rains and even storms, writes Dalmacija danas.
The rest of the month will not be like that, it will gradually get warmer, but there is nothing to worry about the heat arriving quickly. We are expecting another penetration from the northwest, but it will be much less pronounced than the last one.
Today will be mostly sunny, in the afternoon there is a possibility of temporary increased cloudiness along the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Weak bora at night, weak to moderate westerly wind during the day, late afternoon among the islands and over the open sea there may be a temporary increased northwesterly wind. Minimum morning air temperatures from 4 to 12°C in the Dalmatian hinterland, from 12 to 18°C along the coast and on the islands. Maximum daily temperatures from 21 to 26°C.
Tuesday partly sunny and dry in most areas. In the afternoon, temporary increased cloudiness with scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially in the Dalmatian hinterland. Weak bora at night, weak to moderate westerly wind during the day, late afternoon among the islands and over the open sea there may be a temporary strengthening northwesterly wind. Minimum morning air temperatures from 7 to 14°C in the Dalmatian hinterland, from 14 to 20°C along the coast and on the islands. Maximum daily temperatures from 22 to 28°C.
Wednesday will be partly sunny and dry. Locally increasing cloudiness in the afternoon. Weak to moderate bora in the morning, moderate in the afternoon, at sea, intermittent and strong westerly and northwesterly wind. Highest daily temperatures from 23 to 29°C.
On Thursday variable with alternating sunny and cloudy periods. In the first part of the day and in the middle of the day, with more clouds, a passing shower with thunder is possible. A moderate to strong bora wind will blow, but it will weaken quickly. It will be a little cooler.
Both Friday and Saturday Partly sunny and dry. Moderate bora will blow at night, light to moderate westerly wind during the day. Nights will be colder again, warm during the day, from 22 to 27°C.
It will be mostly clear. on Sunday. Relatively fresh morning, warm to very warm during the day, mostly from 21 to 26°C.
