Split police are still investigating the fire incident in Pevex warehouse in Kaštela. The cause of the fire is reportedly an open ember or flame. A concerned 72-year-old man who was in the warehouse before the fire broke out called the police, reports Dalmatian portal.
That day, he took plastic pipes from the warehouse and lit the tape holding them with a lighter. The man left Pevex without suspecting that he had done anything wrong. When he later saw black smoke billowing from the warehouse, he called the police.
The investigation has been completed, but the case is still being processed.
