
HSP AND DP THE BIGGEST LOSERS IN THE ELECTIONS IN KAŠTELA
On Sunday, the people of Kaštela decided who will lead the city for the next four years, with Denis Ivanović receiving a third term, while his deputy will be Antonio Budimir. They also decided on the composition of the City Council, with the HDZ winning the majority with 14 councilors, NL Joško Berket with three councilors, and the SDP/HP and MOST coalition with one councilor.
Looking at the results by polling station HDZ received the most votes at all polling stations, a total of 52,24 percent, with four polling stations leading: Štafilić, Radun, Kambelovac and Gomilica. This will bring the HDZ councilors to 14, three more than in the 2021 local elections, when they won 45,54 percent of the vote.
Independent List of Joško Berket In the elections, it won 13,97 percent of the vote, which gave it three councilors, just like in the previous elections when it won 12,55 percent. The leader of the list enters the council Josko Berket i Goran Samardzic and according to the order of the registered candidate list, Marinka Parcina instead of the previous councilor Meri Škopljanac Gagić.
Social Democratic Party of Finland
achieved better success than in 2021 when they had only 7,08 percent and one councilor in the Council, and are now in coalition with the party We want justice. received 12,41 percent and three councilors.
According to the candidate list they submitted for the elections, the following are entering the council: Ivana Perisin President of the SDP and leader of the list Mary Bedalov Smoje on behalf of the We Want Justice party, which has been on the council so far as a councilwoman for Most, and since September last year as an independent councilor, and Mario Banovac former SDP councilor.
MOST lost some of their voters in these elections and won only 7,12 percent of the vote, which is five percent less than in 2021. Thus, they will continue to have only one councilor in the Council, the leader of the list Milija Baldić Lukšić.
The coalition HSP/DOMINO did not get enough votes in these elections to have a representative in the City Council. They won 3,98 percent of the vote and thus Ante Komljen will no longer be a councilor.
Likewise, there will be no party list leader in the Council. Public good Željan Jurlin, who won 2,65 percent of the vote. Jurlin entered the Council four years ago as an HSP councilor, and then continued as an independent candidate until the 2025 local elections.
The coalition candidate did not enter the Council either. DP/HSLS/HDS Draško Kulis who received 2,93 percent of the vote in the elections. Let us recall that in the elections four years ago, the DP, in coalition with the HSP, received 12,53 percent of the vote and three council seats.
The electoral threshold was not passed and NL Tomislav Jonjić which received 3,58 percent of the vote, which is more than the previously announced coalitions HSP/DOMINO and DP/HSLS/HDS.
