International Museum Day 2025 will be marked in the treasury of the parish church of St. Peter the Apostle in Kaštel Novi with the exhibition "Conservation and restoration work on the ceiling of the parish church in Kaštel Novi" on Sunday, the 18th.vibe at 9 o'clock.
This is an exhibition that talks about the conservation and restoration work on the ceiling of the parish church in Kaštel Novi, which was carried out in early 2024.
The aim of the exhibition is to introduce visitors to what was happening above the construction platform in the parish church during that period and to explain the importance of the conservation and restoration profession in preserving artistic heritage, especially when it comes to an imposing work that covers almost 100 square meters and is 11 meters high.
The exhibition shows, through a multitude of photographs, what conservation-restoration procedures are used for certain problems at work and what special analyzes are carried out by this special profession.
The exhibition will be open before and after every Holy Mass from May 18th to June 08th, and will be held in the hall north of the parish church. In addition to the exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to tour the treasury, which will be open every Sunday from 9 am to 12 pm during the exhibition.
