As a member of the Board of Directors, Cemex Croatia hosted a session of this governing body of the Croatian Business Council for Sustainable Development (HR PSOR) at its premises. In addition to the Board of Directors session, a presentation of Cemex Croatia's business and a tour of the Sv. Juraj cement factory were also organized for representatives of member companies.
The Administrative Council of the HR PSOR discussed the activities carried out, which included a discussion and presented views on the Omnibus 1 proposal, organized only for members, and once again confirmed its commitment to sustainable development. "HR PSOR supports the relief of obligations towards the economy, but it is by no means in favor of the deregulation of sustainability, because without the integration of sustainability principles into corporate management, it will not be possible to curb climate change and the unsustainable consumption of natural resources", emphasized the director of HR PSOR, Ph.D. Mirjana Matesic.
President of the HR PSOR Board of Directors Igor Vukasovic emphasized: “The point of sustainable development and business is to continuously and systematically improve business practices, lead by example, and exchange experiences and best practices. This session was an excellent opportunity to review the achievements of the past period, the activities and plans of the HR PSOR, the entry of 10 new companies into membership, and to get to know Cemex's strategy and progress in sustainability on the spot.”

As one of the founders of this association, Cemex has been actively participating in the work of HR PSOR for many years. The company's experts in the field of environmental protection and sustainable business are frequent speakers at events and trainings organized by the association and participants in roundtables at the annual conference on sustainable development of HR PSOR, the longest-running event dedicated to sustainable development in Croatia. For its responsible practices, Cemex Croatia has also won a number of Croatian Sustainability Index (HRIO) awards awarded by HR PSOR. The last one, for responsible environmental practices for large companies, was won in 2024.
