PRESENTATION OF THE DP – HSLS – HDS COALITION LIST
Mr. Kuliš, the Homeland Movement, together with HDS and HSLS, is running in the elections without a candidate for mayor. Why such an approach?
No, it means we aim for accountability. The Mayor cannot implement any serious decision without the support of the City Council. On the other hand, if the City Council is just a formality – an extended arm of the Mayor – then we do not have democracy, but an illusion. We believe that a strong, accountable and independent council is the key to real change. We do not seek power – we seek the opportunity to serve the citizens.
Because we want to *be corrective* and not competition at all costs. The mayor cannot implement any serious decision without the support of the City Council. And the council without people with character, knowledge and integrity becomes just a "head nod". Our goal is a strong, independent council that will represent the interests of citizens, not political directives.
What makes your list different from others?
By people. More than 60% of our list is made up of young people under 40, and more than half are women. This is not a quota - it is the real picture of a modern, responsible list that combines experience and new energy. We have entrepreneurs, veterans, experts, mothers, workers and young families. A list that breathes with the people, does not live above them.
What are the key program objectives?
Our program is based on the needs of citizens, not on PR or expensive slogans. Kaštela is a city with great potential, but for years, development projects have been lost in political competition. We offer concrete solutions:
1. POS apartments for young families
Kaštela is today a city of young families who cannot afford a home. Our priority is the construction of subsidized apartments at controlled prices - so that young families can stay, work and live here, and not borrow money to live in Zagreb or Germany.
2. Tunnel through Kozjak only next to the Brizine–Stinice bridge
We support infrastructure projects, but not projects without a head and a tail. The tunnel through Kozjak can only make sense if the Brizine–Stinice bridge is built in parallel, as part of a comprehensive traffic solution. Without that, we will just transfer the congestion from Solin to Kaštela.
3. Construction of waterfront and harbors
Our fellow citizens deserve a coastline worthy of a city by the sea. We are calling for the renovation and construction of accessible waterfronts and harbors in Kaštel Sućurac and Kaštel Kambelovac, not for the sake of "visual appeal", but for the real benefits for the local population, fishermen and tourism.
4. Connecting all Kaštela with a coastal promenade
The Seven Castles should become one organism – in terms of traffic, infrastructure and symbolism. A promenade connecting all the Castles should not be a luxury – it is a basic communal need and a visual sign of togetherness.
5. Sport Fishing Act
We are advocating for the passing of a special law that would protect sports fishermen, regulate the rules and preserve the sea for future generations. This is not a hobby - it is the culture, tradition and lifestyle of thousands of our citizens.
Who are the people on list number 2?
These are ordinary, yet exceptional people. People who are not looking for careers in politics, but rather want to serve their city. Here they are in order:

And finally – your message to citizens?
Kaštela deserves more. Enough of the fairy tales before the elections and the silence after them. We are a list that will not remain silent. We will be the ones who ask, propose, control and push for the right projects.
We don't promise everything – but what we promise, we will ask, demand and push for. We will not be silent. We will be the conscience of the City Council. If you want the City Council to be the voice of the citizens, not the ficus of one party.
Circle list number 2. These are not elections for positions – these are elections for the future of Kaštela.
