The Palac hotel has been sold to Czech investors, a story that has been circulating in the corridors, but Jozo Parčina has denied this story. There are no specific buyers for now, and according to Parčina, he is still interested in investing in this dilapidated hotel that is crying out for renovation if a buyer does not appear by the summer, as we have писали in February this year.
- Palace is not sold. You will be informed if we sell it. I think we will invest, then sell – said Parčina briefly in the interview.
When asked whether Czech investors were interested in purchasing the property and whether there was any concrete offer in sight to purchase the property, which is for sale for 12 million euros.
- We have been negotiating for five years. For now, there is no specific interested buyer - he said and added that if the hotel is not sold by the summer, the renovation will begin. As for the investment, he didn't talk about the figures, because as he said, he doesn't know what that amount would be for now.
Let's remind you that Parcina bought Palace five years ago and nothing has changed since then. The former flagship of tourism is becoming a bigger joke every year, and only occasionally would information about a possible sale appear, giving hope that the facility could finally be renovated.
Are better times coming for the former Palace Hotel, we wrote a year ago when the space was being cleaned up, which raised hopes that there might be an interested buyer, but that was all that remained. Namely, this fallen symbol of Kaštela ended up in for sale advertisement back in 2023, and Parčina then asked for 15 million euros.
Its current price is 12 million, and if it is not sold, renovations would begin, which would last two years, and the facility would have 80 rooms, and the newly built facility would have another 120 accommodation units.
