ABOUT 45 MILLION EUROS WILL BE INVESTED
If a buyer does not appear for the Palace Hotel in Stari by the end of this summer, the owner of the complex, Jozo Parcina, will begin renovating the existing facility and building a new one on the site of the accommodation building that was demolished long ago, reports Slobodna Dalmacija.
Let's remind you that Parcina bought Palace five years ago and nothing has changed since then. The former flagship of tourism is becoming a bigger joke every year, and only occasionally would information about a possible sale appear, giving hope that the facility could finally be renovated.
Are better times coming for the former Palace Hotel, we wrote a year ago when the space was being cleaned, which raised hopes that there was an interested buyer, but that's all that remained.
Namely, this fallen symbol of Kaštela ended up in for sale advertisement back in 2023, and Parčina asked for no less than 15 million euros.
As things stand now, if it is not sold by the end of the summer, Parcina will start renovating and building another facility. Around 45 million euros will be invested.
- I have ordered renovation and construction projects for these two hotels, so that something can finally get started - Parcina told Slobodna, adding that the facility is still for sale for 12 million euros.
And if they are not sold, the renovation would begin, which would last two years, and the facility would have 80 rooms, and the newly built facility would have another 120 accommodation units.
