Two months of exceptionally successful and well-attended cultural, artistic, musical and other events were magnified and brought to a close last night with a musical program by Petar Dragojević. The performer of Dalmatian pop hits delighted both young and old with a two-hour concert at Podvorje Square in Sućurac.
"Bread by bread" and we've reached the end. More than 80 different cultural and artistic events, folk festivals, sports and recreational tournaments, concerts, children's programs, at various locations within all seven Kaštela came to an end last night. Organized by the City of Kaštela and the Kaštela Tourist Board and their partners, Kaštela offered some big, renowned names on their stages, but also events that make them recognizable: Nostalgia, Lovestock, Evenings of Dalmatian Letters, International Folklore Evenings, Tambourines and Mandolins, Parish and Folk Festivities, Evenings of Spiritual Chansons, Fashion Shows, Days of the Legend of Miljenko and Dobrila, Romantic Film Evenings in Rušinec, Arsenov feral, Dobrila's Musical Evenings, Arias Under the Stars, Colors of Jazz...
The Kaštela Cultural Summer was officially closed by the Deputy Mayor Jadranka Matok-Bosančić.
- Thank you to our partners, the Kaštela Tourist Board, Kaštela City Hall, the Kaštela City Museum, Kaštela associations, Kaštela art societies. There are also folk festivals. It was cheerful and unforgettable, we hope it will be like that in the future. There was music and joy for everyone. There were performances for adults and children, and all events were very well attended, often asking for more seats. We are extremely satisfied. Thank you to the employees of the City of Kaštela, our department for social activities and the City of Kaštela's own facilities - said the deputy mayor.

The director of the Kaštela Tourist Board did not hide her satisfaction either. Nada Marsic.
- I think we have had an extraordinary summer in terms of the events themselves. Everything was well balanced, both for our fellow citizens and for foreign guests. There were a lot of musical events, international ones, there are Arias, Colors of Jazz, and then on the other hand, there are klapa letters and folklore. The events are such that one part is very attractive to guests who are in town for the first time, and the other part is an additional attraction for those who already know Kaštela, to come to us again. In addition to the above, there were a lot of folk festivals that everyone loves. Although the Kaštela Cultural Summer officially ends today, the grand finale is actually on Monday at the Šalša and Salsa Festival. We will eat šalša in a hundred ways, enjoy Latin rhythms, so we have added the right spice to the end of the summer - said Maršić and added that the TZG Kaštela is extremely satisfied with the number of visitors: - I can say that we are satisfied with the numbers, there were a lot of visitors at all the events. I believe that both guests and visitors are satisfied, because there would be no visitors if it were not so.
"The First and Only", "Rič po rič", "Ovih dana", "Otvoren prozor", "Ljubav" and many other songs Petar Dragojević filled Podvorje Square last night, and the singer did not hide how honored he was to be closing our cultural summer: - This is the first time I'm here in Kaštela at a social event. It's a great honor for me to perform a concert like this in front of the people of Kaštela. My team and I never rest even though it's summer, and on Monday we're finishing a new song, but I won't reveal what it is, but I can say that it's a ballad, which will be released in the middle of the month, and it will be accompanied by a video. - Dragojević revealed to us, adding that next year he's celebrating 25 years of his career and is planning some bigger concerts.
Although the Cultural Summer is officially over, don't miss the Šalša and Salsa Festival on Monday and dance to Latin rhythms to the very end of another summer in Kaštela.
