The 45th Children's Carnival organized by the KKU Poklade Donja Kaštela this Sunday delighted everyone present, and the procession traditionally started from Lucijin put in Kaštel Štafilić across the waterfront to the area of the former Plavi Jadran. The sunny weather lured many locals outside who had the opportunity to enjoy the imaginative and creative masks.
Kindergartens, primary schools and the Maestral children's home participated in the parade, and the parade was opened by the Kaštela majorettes, followed by a little queen. Some of the names of the acts that walked the parade were "Let's go to the gym", "Maestral heroes", "When I grow up I'll be a cake", "In the rhythm of the 80s", "Little cowboys" and many others.
A condemnation was also read against the truncated electric scooter that was the main culprit for children's misfortunes:
- A scooter is making three puntas on its head, my little girl is full of great desires and my little boy is always full of joy. Nobody wants a car or a bicycle anymore, my brother, they want a scooter at least in three or four installments. I want to talk about this important matter today, it's better to prevent it than to end up in the emergency room with three puntas. The driver is not crazy either, let's not pretend to be stupid, who would give money to buy that monster. Dad, don't buy me a car or a bicycle, buy me a miracle scooter, a real electric one, not the ordinary one from Jugovinil. Dad, buy me a helmet, a little bigger, and buy a rosary for grandma, let her pray while she waits for your return - the conviction is the guilty party.

On the stage from which the verdict was read, former The Voice Kids contestant Mira Oštrić also sang, singing Doris Dragović's "Malo mi za sriću triba" and Rihanna's "Love on the brain".
The president of the KKU Poklade, Ante Šuško, gave us a statement on the occasion of another successful Children's Carnival:
- It was great! The 45th anniversary Children's Carnival organized by KKU Poklade brought together 20 groups and 900 children from Kaštela elementary schools and kindergartens, as well as surrounding kindergartens. We also burned this year's children's scum, a scooter, the culprit of all children's misfortunes. The turnout was great, and the weather was good. I hope that it will serve us well for the big parade, and that we will once again make the people laugh with the Great Carnival.
After the Children's Carnival organized by the KKU Poklade, the Grand Carnival is also scheduled to take place on Shrove Tuesday, February 17th.
