Continuing intensive traffic control last night, police officers in the Split and Kaštela areas, in four separate incidents, removed four drivers from traffic who are persistent repeat traffic offenders. They were removed from traffic, arrested, brought to the police station, and their vehicles were confiscated.
These are repeat traffic offenders, two of whom had their driving licenses revoked and confiscated due to previous violations, and the third was driving without a driving license. A knife was found and confiscated from one of them. All three will be brought to court today, where it will be proposed that they be detained. In the fourth incident, the Audi vehicle had incorrect license plates, the driver refused a medical examination to determine whether he had consumed drugs, and he committed three more traffic violations. The man will be investigated.
In the past year, police officers seized a total of 134 vehicles (93 cars, 36 motorcycles, 3 mopeds and 2 trucks) from the most persistent traffic offenders, and for 202 traffic offenders who were brought to court in an urgent procedure, the court imposed a detention measure, after which they were sent to prison.
