The traditional opening of champagne at the Eagle's Nest will take place on Sunday, February 1, 2026, and not on the last Sunday in January as in previous years, due to the announced bad weather. HPD "Ante Bedalov" invites all hikers and nature lovers to join them in celebrating this tradition this year, and along with champagne, the hardworking hikers will also serve hot tea made from herbs collected on Kozjak.
The gathering is planned at Dom pod Koludrom from 10 to 11 am, followed by departure for Orlov gnijezd at 11 am. Arrival at the destination is expected around 12:30 pm, when the champagne will be opened. Return is planned between 1:30 pm and 2 pm.
Participants are invited to bring food and drinks from their backpacks, and clothing and footwear should be adapted to the terrain conditions and weather forecast. Upon returning home, a social gathering will be organized, with the possibility of a barbecue on the outdoor fireplace, said Ante Bedalov from HPD.
