
The Society for the Preservation of Cultural and Natural Heritage Bijaći and the Kaštela Crljenak Association are organizing the 23st Kaštela Wine Evening as part of the celebration of the Day of the City of Kaštela, and on this occasion they invite all interested winemakers from the Kaštela area to bring their wines for sampling and evaluation.
All Kaštela winemakers who have family farms are eligible to participate, and in the special Kaštela Crljenak category, those winemakers who have a license to market wine are eligible. For each wine sample, it is necessary to bring three 0,75 l or one liter bottles, and only one sample can be entered in each category.
The open wine categories are white wine, Opol and red wine of the 2025 vintage, and aged red wines. In the category of Crljenak from Kastelani, those wines that have a stamp and two bottles each. A laboratory analysis will be performed for each wine. The wines will be evaluated by an expert enological commission led by Goran Zdunić from the Institute for Adriatic Culture from Split.
Samples can be brought to the premises of PZ Kaštelacoop in Kaštel Stari, on January 22nd and 23rd from 17 to 19 pm, and on Saturday, January 24th, from 9 am to 12 pm.
The awards ceremony for the awarded winemakers will take place at the Kaštela Wine Evening as part of the Kaštela City Days event, and the date of the event itself will be announced later.
