Based on the agreement between HŽ Passenger Transport and Promet doo Split, railway transport is included in the public urban-suburban transport system in the Split-Dalmatia County.
During the promotional period, from January 1 to June 30, 2026, passengers will be able to use HŽ Putničko prijevoz urban-suburban trains in the Split-Dalmatia County area, i.e. on the Split - Donji Dolac - Split route with valid Prometa doo Split tickets, at no additional charge.
- The goal of this initiative by the City of Split is to improve the availability of public transport, encourage the use of sustainable forms of mobility, and increase the number of passengers who use public transport daily.
This project contributes to the development of an efficient and environmentally friendly public transport system, focused on the needs of citizens, thereby reducing the number of personal vehicles and relieving traffic congestion in the city of Split. HŽ Putnički prijevoz has also introduced 14 new urban-suburban lines since mid-December in order to reduce traffic congestion by increasing the availability of public transport - said HŽ Putnički prijevoz.
