In the selection for the Most Beautiful Advent, which is organized this year by the portal Mayor Under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, 46 cities and 18 municipalities are participating, including Kaštela for the first time. The selection is being carried out on the websites gradoljan.hr for cities and gradoljan.hr for municipalities, and you can see all the pictures and support your favorites on their FB pages. Voting on the platforms is open from Tuesday, December 23rd at 9 am to Monday, December 29th at 12 pm!
The 5th competition for the Most Beautiful Advent has begun, which we are conducting this year under the auspices of Ministry of Tourism and Sports, and this year even the most beautiful are competing for the title 64 Adventists – 46 cities and 18 municipalities.
The biggest news about this year's election is that the voting itself will take place on voting platforms – for Advent in the cities on the page mayor.hr, and for Advents in municipalities on the page mayor.hr. You can vote for one advent in the category of cities and one in the category of municipalities.
Like last year, the winners are chosen in six categories – the most beautiful Advent wreaths will be chosen large, medium and small cities i municipalities and the most beautiful and the best city and municipal Advent by jury selection.
This year, all Advent events are also presented on the FB page. mayor.hr city advents are listed in the order in which applications were received, and on FB mayor.hr municipal.
- We invite you to support your favorites, in addition to voting on the platforms, by liking and sharing posts on FB in order to increase their reach and visibility as much as possible, which is the key goal of this election - the Gradonačelnik.hr portal says.
The Most Beautiful Advent competition was launched five years ago precisely to showcase beautiful Advents from all over Croatia in one place and to enable cities and municipalities and their tourist boards to present their Advents beyond their local context. On the other hand, they give citizens the opportunity to see the results of the great effort, investment and creativity that went into preparing Advents throughout our beautiful country, and to get to know some new Advent destinations that they have never even heard of before, and now they may decide to visit them.
This year, a record number of candidates are in the running. big cities (cities with over 35 thousand inhabitants) – 13 of them! With Varazdin which defends the double title of the most beautiful Advent, Bjelovar, Velika Gorica, Šibenik, Dubrovnik, Samobor, Rijeka, Zadar, Pula and Karlovac, for the first time, the following are participating in the selection: Split and Kastela, and after a two-year hiatus, it's here again Osijek!
In the category medium-sized cities (from 10 to 35 thousand inhabitants) 15 cities are competing this year. Virovitica defends the title of the most beautiful Advent in the category of medium-sized cities, and here they are again Kutina, Sveta Nedelja, Makarska, Krapina, Našice, Nova Gradiška, Trogir and Vukovar. Your Advent for the first time in the selection represent Dugo Selo, Ivanec, Križevci and Solin, and after a two-year break, we are happy to participate again Koprivnica i Abbeys.
It is the most numerous of the city's advent categories small towns which includes 18 cities this year. With Oroslavje which defends the title of the most beautiful, here they are again Otočac, Delnice, Hrvatska Kostajnica, Mursko Središće, Cres, Krk, Novi Vinodolski, Pleternica, Rab, Novalja, Čabar, Županja and Supetar, and this year they are being promoted and participating in the selection for the first time Pag, Vodice, Pakrac and Ploce.
In the category municipality is 18 Adventists and the largest number of new participants. Lower Fruit i Motovun defending their winning titles, here they are again Jasenice, Marija Bistrica, Baska, Medulin, Novigrad and Vinica, and for the first time they registered Barban, Pakostane, Vidovec, Bilje, Cetingrad, Baska Voda, Bedekovcina, Vir, Vela Luka and unique Christmas village in Gornji Dolac. Election rules:
1. The election is conducted on voting platforms – for cities on makolačnik.hr, for municipalities on načelnik.hr
2. Voting runs from December 23rd at 9am to December 29th at 12pm
3. All advents are also presented on the fb pages majjer.hr and načelkan.hr, where you can support them by liking and sharing so that they have the greatest possible reach and visibility.
4. Only votes on platforms are counted and recognized, not on Facebook posts.
5. The winners of the election according to the citizens' assessment will be announced in 4 categories - small, medium and large cities, municipalities
6. The jury (tourist boards, participating cities and municipalities) selects the most beautiful and best Advents in 2 categories – municipalities and cities.
7. All participants in the election will receive a ballot on which they will rate the Advents in their category (municipalities-municipalities, cities-cities) with points 1-5, and the winners will be determined by adding up these points.
8. They may vote exclusively for other candidates within their own category (cities for cities, municipalities for municipalities), not for themselves.
