At the ceremonial session of the Croatian Mountaineering Association, held on December 22nd in Zagreb, the Croatian Mountaineering Association Kozjak received the prestigious HPS award for its exceptional contribution to work with children and young people.
On behalf of the association, the award was accepted by Tanja Perković, head of the School of Little Mountaineers, and Ante Bubić, head of the Mini Trail Children's League, while Marijo Špar, head of the Children's Mountaineering Camps, also made a significant contribution to this valuable recognition. Their dedicated work, as well as the efforts of numerous associates, has been recognized at the national level as an example of good practice in working with the youngest.
The award is a confirmation of the long-standing, systematic and continuous work of HPD Kozjak through numerous programs intended for children and young people. Among them are the School of Little Mountaineers, children's mountaineering camps, the Mini Trail Children's League, as well as organized excursions, educational workshops and active spending time in nature.

Through these activities, children and young people develop a love for mountains and nature, adopt healthy lifestyle habits, are encouraged to exercise, and learn the values of togetherness, responsibility, and team spirit. It is precisely this approach that forms the foundation for the future of mountaineering and the preservation of natural heritage.
HPD Kozjak would like to thank all the leaders, volunteers, parents and young mountaineers who contribute to the success of the society with their enthusiasm and dedication. This recognition is an additional motivation to continue working, develop new programs and create new mountaineering stories that are yet to come.
