The continuation of the work of police officers as part of the "Peace and Good" campaign resulted in misdemeanor punishment eight people, three of whom are parents or guardians of children who used pyrotechnics and are under the age of 14 in the areas of Kaštela, Solin, Split and Imotski.
During the course of this weekend's proceedings in the Split-Dalmatia County, 139 pyrotechnic devices of various categories were seized, which are not allowed to be used by citizens nor can they be purchased in specialized stores, the Split-Dalmatia Police Department announced.
In Split, police officers found three children using pyrotechnics, confiscated 22 pieces of pyrotechnics, and fined their parents or guardians. The youngest child caught using pyrotechnics is nine years old.
Furthermore, another 108 pieces of pyrotechnic devices were seized in Split, while seven pieces of pyrotechnic devices were seized from a minor in the Kaštela area.
In the Solin area, police officers determined that a man had fired a pyrotechnic device through the window of his vehicle, and during the investigation another pyrotechnic device was seized from him.
Police officers from the Imotski Border Police Station found and confiscated a pyrotechnic device during a check on passengers in a passenger vehicle.
