
Work is underway to restore the dilapidated and damaged coastal wall in Castle Kambelovac, approximately 100 meters long, extending east-west. The building in question is located in the M6 zone - mixed use, within the historic core and the residential-business and public-social zone, in accordance with the General Urban Plan of the City of Kaštela.
The project improves the existing condition of the coastal wall, with a special emphasis on preserving the space and restoring it to its original condition, while maintaining the existing coastline. The scope of the project includes public lighting installations and, to a lesser extent, mixed sewage, as we have already mentioned. written in October this year.
For the purpose of developing the reconstruction project, a detailed underwater and above-sea diving survey of the coastal wall was conducted, with precise measurements of all damage. Cracks and subsidence in the underwater and above-sea parts of the wall were recorded and recorded, which served as the basis for developing a technical solution for the rehabilitation.
The works are co-financed by funds Split-Dalmatia County based on the Program for Co-financing Projects in the Maritime Domain in the Split-Dalmatia County for 2024, in the amount of 100.000 euros. The total estimated value of the project is 280.000 euros.
The contractor is a company AKROPOLIS doo, while expert supervision over the execution of works is carried out KOZINA PROJECTS doo The works are planned to be completed within four months from the date of the contractor's introduction into the work.
The goal of the project is to restore the dilapidated coastal wall, increase its safety and functionality, and long-term protection of the coastal zone in Kaštel Kambelovac, while preserving the existing vision and character of the area.
