In an atmosphere of holiday joy, the Parish of St. Jerome organized a touching visit to the Home for the Elderly in Kaštel Gomilica this Thursday, bringing warmth, song, and sincere smiles to the home's residents ahead of the Christmas holidays.
This beautiful gathering was attended by students from Ostrog Elementary School in Kaštel Lukšić, accompanied by their teacher Lucija Bandić, along with members of the St. Jerome Association and parish priest Don Carlos. With their arrival and selfless engagement, they brightened the evening for the residents of the home, turning it into a true celebration of attention and human closeness.
The children made Christmas cards with a lot of love and effort, which they then distributed to the home's residents, while singing Christmas carols together filled the space with joy, warmth, and emotions that touched everyone present. The festive atmosphere, permeated with songs and children's smiles, was a special gift to those for whom such moments mean the most.
The Parish of St. Jerome sent sincere thanks to everyone who participated in this meeting, emphasizing that attention, song, and donated time are the most beautiful gifts that can be given, especially in days when we remember the value of togetherness, solidarity, and love for one's neighbor.
This meeting remains a shining example of how small gestures, imbued with kindness, can bring great joy and leave a deep mark in the hearts of all participants.
