On Tuesday, December 9th, at around 9:30 p.m., traffic police officers in Kaštel Stari stopped a 29-year-old driver who was driving a personal vehicle before obtaining the right to drive, since he had been banned from applying for a driver's license for two years due to the 12 negative misdemeanor points he had accumulated.
Given that the 29-year-old is a repeat offender of traffic violations, he was arrested and taken to court in an expedited procedure. The court was recommended to order detention in order to prevent him from committing further violations, as he has been punished based on final court judgments, and and he did not change his traffic behavior and continued to commit violations.
The police requested detention and a prison sentence of 30 days.
The court conducted the procedure, found the 29-year-old responsible for the offense committed, and sentenced him to 30 days in prison.
