The City of Kaštela and the Kaštela Tourist Board invite citizens and visitors to the ceremony of lighting the first Advent candle, which will be held in Saturday, November 29th at 18 pm in Đardin in Kaštel Novi.
This event marks the beginning of Advent and the preparation for Christmas for the thirteenth year in a row. The service of the word and the ceremony of lighting the first Advent candle will be led by Don Gabriel Camber, pastor of the Parish of St. Peter the Apostle in Kaštel Novi, while the first candle will be lit by Mario Škopljanac, President of the City Council.
The program of the ceremony is completed by performances ŽVS Kaštelanke, Klapa Štorija, Parish and Children's Choir of St. Peter the Apostle te VIS The Power of Faith.
The Advent wreath, placed in Đardin, was made by teachers and students Secondary School Braća Radić – Kaštel Štafilić.
Visitors can also expect a special distribution of mulled wine and desserts, as well as a large selection of Advent wreaths and Christmas decorations made by Kaštela associations.
