
On the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Kaštela from fascism and Nazism, members of the ABA Kaštela Association laid wreaths at all the monuments to fallen fighters in the National Liberation War today at 9 am, thus paying tribute to their fellow citizens, and then they also laid wreaths in front of the Borac monument in Kaštel Lukšić.
After the commemorative act of marking, a ceremonial session of the extended Presidency of the ABA Kaštela Association was held in the Association's premises. History professor and UABA member Tino Baldini held a history lesson on the topic of October 27, 1944 - Liberation Day of Kaštela in World War II.
After the history lesson, the members of UABA Kaštela went to the grave of the honorary president of UABA Kaštela, Ilija Sokol, and laid flowers, thus paying due tribute to, as they affectionately call him, "Barba Ilija."
