
The City of Kaštela and Juraj Dobrila University in Pula invite interested participants to participate in the training program ARCHAEODIGIT - "Innovative skills for the management and valorization of archaeological heritage", which will be held at Villa Nika in Kaštel Stari.
This is part of the international project ARCHAEODIGIT – Archaeological Digital Paths for an Inclusive and Sustainable Tourism (Interreg VI-A Italy–Croatia 2021–2027), which aims to develop innovative approaches to the valorization of archaeological heritage through modern digital tools and sustainable practices.
The 60-hour training program is intended for anyone who wants to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for managing cultural heritage and its integration into sustainable tourism products.
Participants will learn about digital technologies and storytelling, management of archaeological parks, and the possibilities of financing projects from European Union funds and national sources.
Program flow and content
The program will be held in two terms, November 6-8, 2025 and November 13-15, 2025. It consists of three modules, each lasting 20 hours: Storytelling and digital technologies in the valorization of archaeological heritage Planning and management of archaeological parks and sites Financing of projects in culture and tourism from EU and national funds
Who can apply?
The program is open to young people who have graduated from high school or college, students in the fields of humanities, tourism, economics, technical and technological sciences, tourism workers and experts in the field of culture, all those interested in the valorization of cultural heritage and sustainable tourism. Participation in the program is free.
How to apply
Applications are submitted via the form HEREOr in person, by submitting the signed form to the address:
City of Kaštela, Braće Radić 1, 21212 Kaštel Sućurac, with the indication "For the ARCHAEODIGIT project". The application deadline is October 28, 2025, at 12 noon.
Selection and confirmations
The program will include 15 participants, selected in the order of received and complete applications.
Participants who successfully complete at least 80% of the program will receive a certificate of participation.
The best five participants will have the opportunity to participate in a three-month internship in Italy during the spring of 2026. Travel, accommodation and food costs will be fully covered, and the requirement is knowledge of English or Italian at level B1.
